KARACHI, July 1: Some of the country’s leading players will be seen in action when the Sindh Tennis Association (STA) begins second half of the year by staging Super Series ranking tennis championship at the Modern Club courts from July 11 to 17.

According to details, first three days of the event are reserved for qualifying rounds.

Prize money of Rs75,000 will be at stake in the weeklong event which has been sponsored by a fast food chain.

The events that will take place include men’s singles, ladies singles, juniors under-17 singles, boys and girls under-15 singles, boys and girls under-13 singles, boys and girls under-11 singles, boys and girls under-9 singles, juniors under-17 doubles, ladies doubles, seniors 35 singles and seniors 45 doubles.

Tennis Players Identification Number (TPIN) cards are mandatory for participants. Those who have not yet obtained it have been asked to bring two photographs for registration.

All outstation players will be entitled to get daily allowance of Rs300 (singles main draw players) from July 13 until elimination in addition to traveling allowance.

Last date for submission of entries is July 9. The STA has named Jamil Ahmed as organising secretary.
