SIALKOT, Nov 14: The municipal corporation has announced a special grant of Rs5 million for the development of the Sialkot small industrial estate.

According to official sources, the tehsil municipal administration has asked the business community to donate handsome chunks under the city development package for setting up new drainage and sewerage system.

“The project, including the construction of roads in and around the industrial estate, will cost Rs30 million. If businessmen donate Rs20 million, the tehsil municipal administration will allocate an amount of Rs7.5 million for the purpose,” the sources said.

TEHSIL BUDGET: The Sialkot Tehsil Council on Wednesday passed a “tax-free” budget of Rs214.45 million for the current fiscal.

The budget session was presided over by teshil Naib Nazim Mehmood Ali Warraich.

According to a press release, the total expenditures have been estimated as Rs203.71 million. The tehsil municipal administration will get an additional income of Rs10.74 million through the budget as no new tax has been imposed.
