SUKKUR, June 23: Two women and a minor girl of the Shar community were injured while three other women of the community were kidnapped by members of the Bozdar community from a locality near the railway station of Ghotki on Thursday.

Zulekhan Shar, Samia Shar and minor Aasia were injured when the armed persons opened fire on their huts built on a plot encroached by shepherds.

They were admitted to Ghotki hospital.

They also kidnapped three women, including Moomal, wife of Rafique Shar; Komal, wife of Arbelo Shar, and Hakman, wife of Jabbar Shar.

Police reached the spot after one hour of the incident.

According to reports, the Shar and Bozdar communities developed a dispute a few days ago when Nazeeran, wife of Sohno Shar, eloped from Lund Bazaar of Khanpur Mahar district in Ghotki. The Shars accused the Bozdars of kidnapping the woman.

On Wednesday, members of the Shar community kidnapped two women of the Bozdars, Azmat and Shabni, from the village of Sawanjro.
