LAHORE, June 21: An accountability court on Tuesday indicted former PML-N MNA Sohail Zia Butt in a reference of misappropriating funds of the National Industrial Cooperative Finance Corporation (NICFC).
The accused denied the charges levelled against him by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on which the court summoned prosecution witnesses for June 28.
NAB accused Butt of receiving Rs2 million from the NICFC in 2000 to dispossess illegal occupants of Ahmad Mansion, owned by the corporation, but he never accomplished the task. —Staff Reporter
