HYDERABAD, Oct 27: The test for admission to the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology was held at the Latifabad Public School here on Sunday.

A total of 1,830 candidates, including 162 girls, appeared in the test for 576 seats in 16 different disciplines. The test was conducted by the IBA, Karachi.

Vice-Chancellor, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr Abdur Rehman told newsmen the MUET was the first university to hold pre-admission test in 1998.—Bureau
