HARIPUR, Oct 25: The District Council of Haripur through identical resolutions on Thursday criticized the decision of handing over all the water supply schemes to the Tehsil Municipal Administration.

The session presided over by Naib Nazim Riaz Khan Jadoon, through four identical resolutions criticized the decision, saying the performance of TMA had always remained poor with regard to the operating of its own water supply facilities.

The members also apprehended that the decision would bring no relief for the consumers rather it would add to their miseries and corrupt practices by the TMA staff.

To a call attention from union Nazim Salim Khan Jadoon, the district Nazim said that all the electrification schemes for which Rs150 million had already been paid to Peshawar Electric Supply Company would be completed next year.

Earlier, caretaker Nazimeen of Pandak, Khalabat and Khanpur union councils took oath.
