LAHORE, June 4: An anti-corruption court on Saturday issued arrest warrants for PPP MNA Tariq Shabbir for not appearing before court in a land grab case.

The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in 1996 had registered a case against Tariq Shabbir and some government officials on charges of land grabbing by preparing forged documents.

The court issued several summons against the MNA, but he never turned up nor made his representation through a counsel.

Therefore, the court issued his non-bailable warrants and directed the police to ensure his appearance before the court on June 8. — Staff Reporter
