LAHORE, Oct 24: Elected PML-Q members will meet here on Saturday to decide their leader in Punjab Assembly.

Punjab PML-Q president Chaudhry Pervez Elahi made this announcement while talking to delegations of MPAs-elect here on Thursday. He said the meeting would also discuss the reasons and shortcomings that caused the defeat of party’s nominees in the province.

He said development of agriculture sector and introduction of policies to alleviate poverty and check the price hike would top the party’s list of priorities in the province. The quality of education and health services and law and order situation would also be improved, he added.

He said 15 of the 38 independents who had joined the PML-Q after getting elected were those who could not be issued tickets due to one reason or the other.

The PML-Q’s organizer in France, Sabir Shah, also met Mr Pervez and greeted him on party’s success at the polls. — Staff Reporter
