A National Party leader distributing pamphlets regarding the strike called against the killing of Naseem Jingian.—Online

QUETTA: A leader of the National Party, Nasim Jangian was shot dead by unidentified attackers in Turbat on Thursday, police sources said.

Mr Jangian, NP’s deputy organiser for Turbat zone, was sitting with his friends at a restaurant on the outskirts of Turbat when gunmen on a motorcycle appeared and opened fire at him.

Mr Jangian was seriously injured and died before reaching hospital.

Police shifted the body to the civil hospital and started investigation after registering a case.

BODIES FOUND: Two bullet-riddled bodies were found near coastal highway in the Lasbela district on Thursday.

Local people informed the Levies Force about the presence of the bodies. The LF personnel took the bodies to the district hospital Uthal.

The bodies were identified as those of Muhammad Tariq Baloch (Turbat) and Abdul Hameed Marri (Winder). The bodies were handed over to the grieving families after legal formalities.
