DEMAND: Office bearers of the taluka Sujawal PPP, citizen action committee, Shehri Ittehad, members of civil society and other leaders of public opinion have demanded immediate removal of Sujawal TMO Pir Haqqani and a probe into TMA affairs.

Through separate statements and a press conference, they said they had informed Minister for Local Government Agha Siraj Durrani during his recent visit and he suspended Pir Haqqani under letter dated May 23, 2011.

They said that despite suspension, the influential, who is brother of the sitting president of taluka PPP, was not relinquishing his charge and drawing huge amount of money of TMA in violation of the rules.

They alleged that Pir Haqqani was involved in massive corruption in the TMA and usurped huge funds through bogus vouchers and fake employment. He had showed in record over 20 employees whom had recruited on daily wages for a single fire-brigade vehicle.
