LARKANA, Oct 19: The house-job doctors of the Chandka Medical College Hospital boycotted work here on Saturday.

They were protesting against the disparity in stipends of the house-job doctors of Sindh and the other three provinces.

Taking to journalists, their representatives said that the house-job doctors in Sindh got Rs3,878 per month while those of Punjab, Balochistan and NWFP received Rs6210 monthly.

The Sindh health minister, realising the difference, had submitted a summery to the Sindh governor with the recommendation to increase the stipend, they said and alleged that it had been put in the cold storage.

They thanked the Pakistan Medical Association for supporting their demand and called upon the Sindh government to do justice with the house-job doctors.
