PESHAWAR, Oct 19: The Iqra University and Blue Veins, an NGO, arranged a walk on Saturday to create awareness among the people about the cancer ailment.

The walk started from the Iqra University campus and ended at the Spin Jumaat.

The project director of the Iqra University, Obaidur Rehman, and Dr Yasmin Ashfaq, principal of the Khyber Medical College, led the walk.

Later, Ms Ashfaq delivered a lecture on the issue and suggested that specially the women should be very careful about the breast cancer and in case of any abnormality should contact the doctor so that the disease could be treated at the initial stage.

Mr Rehman asked the students and teachers to inform the people regarding the disease and the ways to detect it at the early stage.
