4 children killed in road accidents

SWABI, Nov 13: Four children were killed in road accidents, and a man was shot dead by his son here on Tuesday.

Zeeshan ,15, was on his way to a petrol pump with his uncle in a tractor trolley, driven by the former. Suddenly it went out of control and fell into a ravine. Zeeshan was crushed to death by the trolley which had overturned. His uncle was slightly injured.

Two children had gone with their grandfather to Kota village from Kalabat to attend some function. On their return, the children, with their grandfather, were going home. Just as they were crossing the road a speedy Mazda wagon hit the children. One of them, Kamil, was killed on the spot and the other, Naveed-ul-Haq, was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

The grandfather lodged an FIR with Topi police station against the wagon driver, Mohammad Mushtaq, who was arrested.

On Manki bus stop a six- year-old child, Nawaz Sharif, was crushed to death by a speedy vehicle( PRB 2795). The driver escaped from the scene. The father of the child has registered an FIR against the driver.

In Shaghi village a carpenter, Nabullah, was shot dead by one of his sons.

The widow told the police that the deceased had advised her that if he was killed she should lodge an FIR against their sons. There was a dispute between the father and the sons over some domestic issues.

On Tuesday noon, Nabullah was shot dead by one of his sons, Nasir, who escaped from the scene.

The widow lodged an FIR against Nasir.
