For a car enthusiast, it wasn’t anything less than heaven. The most exquisite pieces of metal from all corners of the world were driven into the Toronto Metro Conventional Centre for the Canadian International Auto Show, 2011. Distributing baby bibs to grown-ups for uncontrollable drooling wouldn’t have been a bad idea. Green was the order of the day, with every manufacturer striving to push the most economically sound and environment-safe vehicle through their manufacturing plants.

While the Germans and Italians were pretty visible, it was the Japanese who captured the limelight with their concept car, Subaru that seemed to have come straight out of the future. The Americans brought their signature rough and rugged style although they had also included some smaller cars and trucks in their collection; they also displayed cars that can be charged through an electricity socket. Over all, the BMW’s new six series stood out. The premium brands, as usual, included Rolls Royce, Bentley, Aston and Maybach. As most of us can’t afford to even rent these cars, visiting the show was like a trip to wonderland where everyone got a chance to see these beauties up close and experience the lure of their power and style.
