UMERKOT, April 14: Six people have been booked for attacking the District Coordination Officer, Umerkot, House here on Thursday.

The FIR had been lodged by the Umerkot police on the complaint of Awwal Shah, a constable deployed at the DCO House.

In his compliant, he had maintained that he was on duty at the residence of DCO along with other members of the staff. In the evening, six gun-totting criminals with deadly weapons forced their way into the DCO House and held them hostage.

He further said that the intruders searched the house and inquired about Saleem Raza, the DCO, and his family members.

Mr Shah identified six gunmen which included Ishaque, Mohammad Aslam, Nek Mohammad, Aari alias Porho and Ashiq Khoso, while others kept waiting in cars outside the house.

After registration of FIR, police started raids to arrest nominated accused.
