MUZAFFARABAD, April 11: All Pakistan Under-16 Women’s Table Tennis Championship began here on Monday under the aegis of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sports Board, with six teams participating in the two-day event. The teams from Sindh, Punjab, AJK, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Fata and Islamabad were divided in two pools which played league matches on the basis of best of five here in the Turkish built Sport Complex.

Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan did not send their teams. Sindh clinched the top position in Pool A followed by AJK and KP whereas Punjab stood on top in the Pool B followed by Fata and Islamabad.

Madiha Mubasha, who is officiating at the event, told Dawn that semifinals between Sindh and Fata and Punjab and AJK as well as the final between the winners would be played on Wednesday on knockout basis.
