KARACHI: A Pakistan-India hockey series seems likely after tensions between the two countries somewhat eased after the cricket World Cup 2011 semi-final between India and Pakistan in Mohali.

In an exclusive interview with DawnNews, Pakistan Hockey Federation's secretary general, Asif Bajwa said that efforts were being made to hold a hockey series between Pakistan and India by the end of this year.

Regarding this matter, the secretary of the Indian Hockey Federation, Narinder Batra, has contacted Bajwa.

This series will take place between the players of the junior and senior teams while the schedule will be announced after governments of both countries give security clearance.
