ISLAMABAD, Oct 13: The president of Pakistan Muslim League(Q), Mian Azhar, has said that his party is ready to join hands with other parties including Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal Pakistan.

In an interview with BBC radio he hoped that the PML(Q) would form government in the centre with the support of other parties.

He said, “we expected to win the elections with majority but we won with less number of seats, but we would form the government in the centre with the support of other parties.”

He said, PML(Q) is also in a position to form coalition governments in Punjab and Balochistan provinces. However, coalition with any party is to be decided by the central working committee of the PML(Q).—APP

SHUJAAT HUSAIN: Mian Mohammad Azhar has nominated Chaudhry Shujaat Husain as the leader of the party in the parliament, Our Staff Reporter adds from Lahore.

He will also be authorized to hold talks with other parties in connection with the formation of government.

However, Chaudhry Shujaat said he is not a candidate for the office of the prime minister or any other office.

He said Mian Azhar was the elected leader of the party and he would take all decisions inside or outside the parliament under the guidance from the party president.

Shujaat said decisions about prime minister, chief ministers, speakers and deputy speakers would be taken before the inaugural session of the assembly.
