Supporters of Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari of PML (Q) celebrate the win of the party in NA-172 by-elections on Tuesday.—Online

TAUNSA: The PML-Q candidate Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari has won the by-polls of NA-172 by securing 57,446 votes.

According to unofficial results, Hafiz Abdul Karim of the PML-N bagged 37,071 votes while Shabbir Ahmed Khan Leghari of the PPP got 15,720 votes.

The NA-172 was vacated after the death of MNA Farooq Ahmad Khan Leghari in October 2010.
