SIALKOT, Oct 13: Heavy rain continued in Sialkot and Narowal districts for the second day on Sunday.

Reports of hailing and drizzle were also received mostly from rural areas.

It remained cloudy on Sunday and people were seen wearing warm clothes.

The local Met office has forecast more heavy rains in Sialkot and Narowal districts and the catchment areas of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.

Hailing and drizzle have badly affected the standing paddy and potato crops on a large scale in Sialkot and Narowal districts.

The food and agriculture department have yet to estimate the loss.

The affected farmers have urged the Punjab governor to announce a special financial relief for them.
