QUETTA, March 14: Agha Mahmood Ahmedzai, a local leader of the Balochistan National Party (Mengal), was killed when gunmen on a motorcycle attacked him in Kalat on Monday. The assailants escaped after the attack.

Mr Ahmedzai was the nephew of PPP MPA Agha Irfan Karim Ahmedzai.

According to APP, Mr Ahmedzai, who was also the nephew of Khan of Kalat Agha Sulaiman Dawood and MPA Perveen Magsi, was going home in his vehicle when he came under fire. The vehicle went out of control, trampling over two passers-by. They were injured and admitted to hospital.
