KARACHI, March 13: Two auto mechanics were killed in an ambush on their shop along Abul Hasan Isphani Road, police said.

“Mohammad Shahid and Mohammad Ali were pulling down shutters of their auto shop situated near Paradise Bakery when unidentified persons arrived in a car and sprayed them with bullets before fleeing,” said an official at the Mobina Town police station. He said that both the men were rushed to the nearby Patel Hospital where they succumbed to their wounds during the treatment.

In Liaquatabad, a young man was shot dead near Jhanda Chowk within the remit of the Super Market police station.

The police described the incident as a result of personal enmity.

They said 30-year-old Zahid, son of Shamraz Khan, was passing through the area when armed men riding a motorbike opened fire on him and fled. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the police added.

They said the victim was a resident of family quarters situated on the premises of the central jail and had came to Liaquatabad to meet some friends when he was targeted.
