THE Hala and New Saeedabad talukas in Matiari district used to be peaceful areas in Sindh.

The majority of people of these areas are farmers, labourers and related to other jobs. They have to work till late hours to meet their daily expenses.

Unfortunately, in the recent past the crime ratio has increased in these talukas.

Robbers have become very active. Every day they rob people of their cars, motorcycles, cellphones and cash.

With the increase in criminal activities, the underprivileged, especially women, children, sick and the elderly people are facing hardships.

Although the police are aware of the crime situation, they take no action against criminals who are busy kidnapping people for ransom and hijacking vehicles.

I would appeal to all those who can take action against these criminals to save the common man from injustice and loss of property.
