LAHORE, March 2: Three matches were decided in the National Under-19 hockey championship at Bahawalpur Stadium, Bahawalpur on Wednesday.

Captain Mohammad Zubair and Khurram Shahzad, with two goals each, helped National Bank of Pakistan beat Islamabad 6-3.

International Zubair scored in the 3rd and the 49th minutes, while Khurram made successful tries in the 47th and 70th minutes. Ayub Ali (31st) and Rizwan (32nd) struck one each. For Islamabad, Adnan Asif (7th minute), Mudassar Ali (24th) and Atif Mahmood (38th) were the scorers.

Three-goal Arslan Sherazi helped Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) to earn a 5-1 win against Punjab. He scored in the 9th, 12th and 19th minutes. Syed Kashif Shah (43rd) and Zeeshan Bukhari (69th) were the other scorers. For Punjab Mushtaq (22nd) scored the lone goal.

Four-goal Waseem Abbas Junior helped Customs to teach a lesson to Balochistan with 9-2 triumph. Waseem pumped in goals in the 35th, 51st, 56th, and 66th minutes. Ghulam Abbas added two goals in the 11th and 41st minutes.

Waseem Abbas Senior, Mudassar Ali (50th) and Shaheryar (53rd) scored one each. For Balochistan, Riaz Ali banged home all two goals in the 23rd and 44th minutes.
