KARACHI, Oct 9: The candidates’ of the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly have said that it is beyond their wit to understand why there is only one polling station in Gulshan-i-Hadeed, a place where more than 60,000 voters reside.

Moreover, over 2,000 votes of Pakistan Steel employees are likely going to go to waste, as employees work in shifts and have to make it to the Steel

Mill by 8am the latest, and return back home by 10pm. Nothing has been done for them so far.

The polling station set up at City Cliff School of Steel Town has been relocated to Madar-i-Millat Degree College owing to security reasons.

More than 100 foreign engineers reside close to the school, so it had to be shifted.

The police, in a bid to cater to the transportation needs of polling station staffers, has seized a large number of vehicles to facilitate them.

Owing to this, the commotion of public transport on the streets has become a rare sight nowadays.

Various contenders have alleged that government officers are facilitating only a certain party with vehicles.—PPI
