He said the firing left 24-year-old waiter Abdul Samad and 32-year-old restaurant owner Abdul Hafeez wounded, who were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

“The armed men, meanwhile, escaped from the restaurant while the wounded Abdul Samad died during treatment. The body was later shifted to the JPMC for an autopsy,” he said, adding that the people behind the firing had been identified and efforts were being made to arrest them.
