TORONTO, Feb 9: Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi will visit Canada later this month at the invitation of his Canadian counterpart Lawrence Cannon. This would be the first visit to Ottawa by Pakistan's foreign minister after a very long time, Pakistani Consul General Sahebzada A. Khan said here on Wednesday.

He said Mr Qureshi's visit starting in the last week of February, would consolidate Pak-Canadian ties and help to expand cooperation in different fields.

Besides having official talks in Ottawa, Mr Qureshi will be the keynote speaker at a community function being organised by Canada-Pakistan Friendship Association (CPFA) in Toronto on Feb 26.
