KARACHI, Oct 6: Inspector General Police Sindh, Syed Kamal Shah has called upon police personnel to make extra efforts to maintaining foolproof security during the forthcoming elections.

“Police personnel should exhibit the same spirit and devotion during the forthcoming elections as witnessed in the Ideas-2002 defence exhibition held in Karachi,” Syed Kamal Shah said while addressing the officers and personnel of the capital city police at a get-together at the police headquarters in Garden, here on Saturday night.

The IG said the Sindh governor and the army authorities, besides foreign and local delegates, had duly recognised the services of the Sindh police. In their separate appreciation letters, they had expressed their appreciation with special reference to security duties and traffic arrangements during the Ideas-2002, he added.—APP
