Fire all these striking employees. In this time and age, if u cannot compete, then go home and let someone competent run this airline. PIA crew's (in their offices/airports in Pakistan) attitude sucks, they are corrupt and that's why I have never travelled by PIA from USA to Pakistan and never will until their attitude changes.

Last night, I headed for airport to see off my cousin who was supposed to be Pakistan today but he could not due being grounded the PIA Flights. Just imagine the suffering of passengers. Why are tickets are being issued if there is not flight to fly. Our irresponsible politicians have made a mess in every department of Pakistan. At any cost, I am to be at Pakistan to attend the wedding ceremony of my only one sister in Pakistan but I am not certain about my traveling. Even other airlines are not allowed to land because of being out of duty the local staff that manage the ground-tasks when airbuses are landed. when will be grow up to protest in a fair manner as happens in other developed countries where priority is given only even to the a man on the street. For God's Sake this is not the only airline having strikes! Why is that such an issue. Happens in any other European Country. Let this be another one. The passangers always suffer under those circumstances. It's about firing those who are just trouble makers and keep those who are ready to execute and improve!

I am about to fly on Saturday for my sister s' wedding. She just called me and told me about the ongoing strikes. I am totally disagree with Mr. Muzammal about the way of strikes. For your information in " Developed " countries the way of strike is way way worst. I am surprised that only some flights got disrupted. Here in London BA staff went on strike and 60% of the entire fleet was grounded and that strike was for " Pay Rise " and it coasted British Airlines some £149 million a day. London Underground went on strike on New Years Day. And almost entire underground was shut. Now comes to the current issue If PIA goes ahead with Turkish Airlines do you know whats going to happen? People like you and me who are abroad will have to take flights from Turkish Airline and instead of direct and quick and cheaper flights to Pakistan we have to pay more, we have to go Istanbul first and then PIA will pick us. I am in same situation as you are but we should start thinking beyond only our needs. This not the solution to sell all major international routes. Solution is to find the problem and return our Flagship airline to its formal glory. Only 12 years back PIA was among 5 best international airlines.

This is insanity. Not only the passengers of these flights suffer but the main roads are blocked and commuting to one place from another has been made impossible for the common man. This wastes gas and petrol on the roads. Are we a rich enough country to afford these losses? If you want to protest, protest in a civil way! This is the way of savages. If you are suffering because of your own ignorance and lack of enthusiasm then why make the people who want to work suffer with you. I am a doctor and had to commute from my house to the hospital and was delayed a good 2 hours because of this meaningless strike and two patients almost died because of delayed surgery.
