KOHAT: Bid to smuggle arms foiled

KOHAT, Nov 12: The Kohat police have arrested two women and their male accomplice for trying to smuggle huge quantity of sophisticated weapons and ammunition in a car from Darra Adam Khel.

The police staff at Gulshanabad police checkpoint at the border between Darra Adam Khel and Kohat stopped a car (PRP-2980) and upon checking seized three AK-47 Russian-made assault rifles, one light-machine gun, one 44 bore rifle, one 8mm rifle, one 30 bore pistol and 1488 cartridges.

The police after arresting Ms Yasmin, Ms Gulshan and Said Wazir registered a case against them under the recently enforced arms control laws.
