RAWALPINDI: The elder brother of Malik Mumtaz Qadri, assassin of Salman Taseer, on Wednesday moved an application here on Wednesday in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) seeking permission to meet his brother detained in Adiala Jail.

ATC-I Judge Malik Mohammad Akram Awan directed the Punjab home secretary and Adiala Jail superintendent to submit their reply on the application filed by Dil Pazeer by January 24.

He filed the application through Advocate Raja Shujaur Rehman in which he contended that he was not allowed to meet his brother in the jail. He requested the court to direct the jail authorities that he might be allowed to meet his brother Mumtaz Qadri. —Our Reporter
