ISLAMABAD, Jan 13: An Italian diplomat's house located in Sector G-6/4 was looted by an armed robber in the wee hours of Thursday when the whole area was in the grip of darkness due to the loadshedding.

Italian diplomat Gillsepe has been living alone in G-6/4 for quite sometime. However, he has not been provided with any security cover either from the capital police or from his embassy.

Mr Gillsepe was sleeping in his bedroom when the robber broke into the house. He held Mr Gillsepe at gun point and looted Rs200,000, two mobile sets, a laptop from the house and escaped from the scene.

Later, the diplomat through his embassy lodged a complaint with the Aabpara police of the incident.

SHO Inspector Khalid Awan told Dawn that one of the stolen mobiles had been traced which would help in arresting the culprit soon.— Staff Reporter
