BAJAUR: MMA hopeful of victory

Published October 1, 2002

BAJAUR, Sept 30: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal provincial general secretary Maulana Gul Naseeb has said that the religious parties’ alliance would form governments in the NWFP and Balochistan provinces.

Speaking at various election rallies on Monday, he urged the tribal people to vote for the religious scholars on Oct 10 to pave the way for enforcement of Islamic system in the country.

The alliance would make all out efforts to foil the government designs of rigging the polls, he said, adding that influencing the elections in favour of certain parties would have adverse effects.
