LAHORE, Jan 1: Film director Javed Fazil was laid to rest at Allama Iqbal Town’s Karim Block graveyard on Saturday.

A large number of people, many of them from the film industry, attended his funeral. Prominent on the occasion were Syed Noor, Aslam Dar, Jamshed Zafar, Dabir-ul-Hasan, Irfan Khusat, Riaz-ur-Rehman Saghir, Javed Raza and Zafar Sharif. Film actress Reema also present.

Fazil died in Karachi a few days ago. His body was brought to Lahore for the burial. The funeral was delayed because his two sons and widow had to reach Lahore from US. His qul will be held on Sunday (today) after Zohar prayers at the mosque near his residence, 134-Kashmir Block, Allama Iqbal Town. — Staff Reporter
