LAHORE, Dec 27: scores of people protested late on Monday the death of a man at a private elite hospital in Johar Town, alleging doctors had committed negligence.

Protestors alleged the patient, Okara PML-N leader Muhammad Aslam, died of doctors’ negligence during the surgery. They said Aslam was shifted to the hospital with a minor abdomen problem and the doctors suggested surgery which ended in his death.

The relatives of the patients and other people also tried to damage the windowpanes of the hospital.

The police, however, dispersed the demonstrators and promised a legal action against the doctors. — Staff Reporter
