JHANG, Dec 26: On the orders of the district police officer, five officials of the Jhang Saddar police station were arrested on Sunday for their alleged links with criminals and cattle thieves.

The arrested have been identified as ASI Zulfiqar Sial and constables Qaider Baloch, Waqas Araen, Mansabdar Naul, Zulfiqar Naul. The DPO said the action was taken in connection with the directions of the chief minister to launch a crackdown on cattle thieves. He said the accused had links with cattle thieves and they used to harbour them.—Correspondent
