MIRANSHAH, Sept 28: Mutahidda Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) candidate for NA-40, North Waziristan Agency, Maulvi Nek Zaman Haqqani, has said that if voted to power the religious parties’ alliance would utilize all the available resources to solve the long-standing problems of the tribal people.

Speaking at different election rallies held here on Saturday, the MMA candidate said the alliance would reduce the deprivations of the tribesmen and would provide equal opportunities of employment, health and education.

The rallies were largely attended by the tribal elders, chieftains and Maliks.

Former member of National Assembly Maulana Mohammad Deendar urged the election meetings to vote for the religious scholar on the polling day to pave the way for the implementation of Islamic system in the country.

On this occasion, different tribes of the agency, including Madakhel, Wozikhel, Mohammadkhel, Uthmanzai and others, announced support to the MMA candidate.

The JUI (F), North Waziristan Agency, general secretary, Maulana Abdur Rehman said the tribal population had always stood by the ulema and religious scholars.

The tribesmen had rendered great sacrifices during the Russian occupation of Afghanistan and in the ongoing US military campaign in that country, he said, and urged the people to eliminate the American agents by casting their votes for the religious scholars.
