LANDI KOTAL, Sept 28: The 102-bed Agency Headquarters Hospital in Landi Kotal is facing numerous problems, such as lack of specialists, equipment, and drinking water.

The hospital has been without a specialist physician since the transfer of Dr Abdul Karim in July last year. Hence the patients now have to travel to Peshawar.

The ENT specialist too does not attend OPD, and the dentist has just been appointed after a period of six months.

The only treatment you can get at the dentistry ward is the extraction of your tooth.

The X-ray plant too is old and needs to be replaced by a high-speed machine. The ultrasound machine is also out of order.

Medicines supplied to the hospital store are of substandard quality, given mostly to outdoor patients.

Also, the hospital has not been getting sufficient supply of water for quite some time.
