KARACHI, Dec 23: The three-day Quaid-i-Azam Cup boxing tournament commenced in Lyari's Ustad Mohammad Sattoo stadium on Thursday with winners making it to the last four stage.

The boys' under-14 category witnessed 18 bouts while one bout was decided in juniors' under-16.

The semi-finals in all the three categories – boys', juniors' and youth – will be held on Friday at 4.00pm.

Boys' under-14 pre quarter/quarter-finals:

20 kg: Shoaib bt Osama on pts; Mubin bt Munir Kachi on pts.

22 kg: Wajid Ali bt Ans RSC second round; Sajid Rashid bt Mohammad Hussain on pts.

24 kg: Asrar bt Maaz on pts; Bilal bt Usman on pts.

26 kg: Mohammad Hussain bt Wahid on pts; Zohaib Rashid bt Sameer RSC first round; Asif bt Saud on pts.

28 kg: Qaiser Karim bt Waheed on pts; Rizwan bt Adnan on pts.

32 kg: Adil Kachi bt Jahangir on pts; Saqib bt Gohar Khan on pts; Adil Hussain bt Zakir on pts.

Juniors' under-16:

48 kg: Aqib bt Hasan Zeb RSC first round.
