17 injured in road accident

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Sept 25: At least 17 passengers were injured, five of them seriously, in a road accident near New Jatoi on Wednesday.

A Naushahro Feroze-bound bus (R-0017), coming from New Jatoi, careened into a ditch when its tie-rod got broken near New Jatoi.

The seriously injured persons, Allah Dino Khaskheli, Dater Lotho, Mohammad Saleh Lotho, Haji Meenhoon Khoso and Allah Dino, were referred to the People’s Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah.

The other injured, Begum Dildar Khoso, Ms Sajida, Afsana, Haji Urs Khoso, Ayub Khoso, Aslam Khoso, Moor Khoso, Mohammad Khoso, Ghanhwar Khoso, Haji Mohammad Hassan Khoso, Haji Bagh Ali Daher, Lal Bux Khoso and Jumo Khoso were admitted to taluka hospitals of Moro and New Jatoi.

The driver escaped.

No FIR had been registered by the Mithiani police till the filing of this report.

Meanwhile, one Mohammad Qasim was injured over an old enmity on Habery bus stop, Moro town.

Hesco losses: The Hesco, Naushahro Feroze division, incurs an average loss of 16 million units per month.

This was disclosed by the executive engineer, Hesco, Abdul Hameed Talpur, during an open kutchehry of the superintendent engineer, Hesco, Nawabshah circle, Mohammad Saleem Arif, on Monday.

Mr Talpur said that the average monthly loss in the division was 16 million units but during the month of August it had been 17.9 million units, which was the highest in Sindh.

Mr Arif dealt with many complaints of consumers in the open kutchehry.

NPP: Abdul Sattar Abbasi, Raees Sohail Ahmed Abbasi, Ghulam Mohammad Abbasi, and Khalifa Shakeel Ahmed have left the PPP and joined the NPP at Naushahro Feroze on Monday.

Ghulam Mustafa Khan Jatoi was also present on the occasion.
