RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi courts accepted the bail of former CPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz and former SP Khurram Shahzad before their arrest in regards to the Benazir Bhutto assassination case.

Former CPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz and former SP Khurram Shahzad appeared before Nasir Ahmed Khan, the judge at the Anti Terrorist Court No. 3, where their bail was accepted.

In the previous hearing, the court had issued warrant of arrests and had ordered authorities to arrest the accused and present them in court.

The two were arrested on allegations that they failed to provide adequate security for former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto before her 2007 assassination.
