KARACHI: Five goals by Sambreen Abbasi helped Larkana thrash Mirpurkhas 6-0 in the opening match of the three-day NBP Inter-regional Women Hockey Championship at the Hockey Club of Pakistan (HCP) here on Sunday.

Sambreen scored in the eighth, 18th, 39th, 57th and 60th minutes while Tahreem Imrani added another in the 45th minute. The match was supervised by umpires Shazia Yousuf and Ikhlaq Bukhari.

Monday’s fixtures: Larkana v Sukkur (9.00am) and Karachi v Hyderabad (11.00am).
