SHIKARPUR: The 44th founding day of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) was observed on Tuesday throughout the country.

A large number of PPP workers and leaders took out rallies from city Shikarpur, Garhiyasin, Sultankot, Lakhi and other towns in Shikarpur District in connection with the celebration of their party's founding day here.

The rallies were led by PPP District President Mir Babal Khan Bhayo, Sindh Minister for Local Government Agha Sirajuddin Durani, Sindh Minister for Housing Agha Taimoor Khan and various PPP District leaders.

The participants of rallies while marching through the    city's roads proceeded to Sukkur to participate in the major    gathering held there to commemorate the    services of the Party's founder-chairman Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and his    followers.

Earlier Sindh Ministers Agha Sirajuddin Durani and Agha Taimoor Khan, PPP Divisional President Larkana,    PPP District President Mir Babal Khan Bhayo and other Party leaders while addressing the PPP workers at Kot Durani, Garhiyasin, Bhayo House Shikarpur and at the Shikarpur residence of Agha Taimoor Khan highlighted    the objectives of the founding    of Pakistan Peoples Party and paid rich homage to the political and social services rendered by its    founder-chairman Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto for    the well being of the people and the restoration of people's real democracy in the country.

They said that they would not forget the sacrifices of precious lives which the    workers    rendered for the solidarity of the party.

The PPP leaders vowed to continue their struggle for completing the mission taken up by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and his brave daughter Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto who sacrificed their precious lives for restoration of democratic system in the interests of people and upgrading their socio-economic life.

Later the rallies of party workers left Shikarpur for Sukkur to attend the gathering held being there in connection with    celebration of PPP's founding day.
