ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani man who says he lost his son and brother in an American missile attack in the country's northwest is demanding damages from the CIA.
Mirza Shahzad Akbar, a lawyer for Kareem Khan said on Monday that his client will file a lawsuit against the director of the CIA and the US defense secretary unless he receives $500 million in compensation.
The action is likely to draw attention to the issue of civilian casualties in drone strikes close to the Afghan border.
There have been more than 100 such attacks this year, more than twice the amount last year.
Washington does not publicly admit firing the missiles. US officials privately say little beyond that the attacks are killing al-Qaida and Taliban militants.

I think it is very good move & i must say he should have to file the same petition against Pak Government, and demand the same amount of money , then we will see that the role of Supreme court, we have been irritated the slogan about " Free Judiciary".

I think this is only fair..
As Libya had to pay for the victims of the LOCkerbie case.
USA should pay the compensation although a human life is priceless but compensation will heal some wounds...

The injustice never survivies for long albeit it can go on for a while. The sense of justice/injustice is there in everyone of us. This campagin of drone attacks is perhaps the greatest example of injustice comitted on Pakistani soil. I hope many victims like him stand up and get help from activist lawyers to sue CIA.
