ISLAMABAD, Sept 23: The administration on Monday formed a committee to run the transitional affairs after local government elections in Islamabad, a senior official told Dawn.

“After the LG polls, the existing setup will be wrapped up and till the establishment of the district government, the affairs of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) would be looked after by the committee,” he said.

The committee would be headed by the ICT director development and finance, Imran Nasir Khan. Other members are additional deputy commissioner (general), ICT deputy director development, assistant commissioner (rural), assistant director (local government and rural development), ICT account officer and ICT assistant director (administration).

The official said the deputy secretary of interior ministry, Abdul Sami Khan, would be the co-opted member.
