PPP informs CEC of Firing on office

ISLAMABAD, Sept 23: Acting Secretary General of the PPP, Mian Raza Rabbani, has brought into the notice of Chief Election Commissioner Irshad Hasan Khan an incident in which the supporters of PML (Q) in Balochistan opened fire on the election office of People’s Party Parliamentarians injuring several PPP workers.

In a letter addressed to the CEC, Mian Rabbani has said: “... on Sept 22, a procession of the PML (Q) was taken out a Usta Mohammad Khan, Balochistan, i.e., NA-266 Naseerabad and PB-25 Naseerabad-1.

As the processionists approached the office of PPP election office, the processionists opened indiscrimination firing on the said office and riddled it with bullets. At that time, 20 to 25 workers were present in the office who were beaten with sticks, due to which three had been seriously injured. An attempt was made to have an FIR registered at Usta Mohammad Khan police station but the same was refused,” the letter said.
