KARACHI, Sept 23: The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Pakistan, organized a “Transport Education” seminar at the PIA Training Centre under the chairmanship of Rear Admiral Ahmad Hayat, Vice Chairman, CILT Pakistan.

Sixty Eight participants from Karachi University, Jamshoro University, Dadabhoy University, PIA, CAA, Ports and Shipping, PQA, Pakistan Steel, NLC and private sector logistical and transport organizations took part.

Four papers on the importance of education in logistics and transport for the economic progress of the country were presented by Brig S. S. A. Qasim (R), Honorary Secretary, CTLC Pakistan, Wg Cdr Nadir A. Shah, Principal, PTC, Dr Prof Rafique A. Khan of Dadabhoy University and Professor S. M. Ahsan of Karachi University.

Badshah Gul, Ex-director, PIA, spoke about the details of the plan for the construction of the CILT Building in Gulistan-i-Jauhar.

Recommendations of the seminar will be disseminated to various transport organizations and stake holders for action.—APP
