Ghinwa’s appeal to people

Published September 22, 2002

LARKANA, Sept 21: The chairperson PPP(SB), Ghinwa Bhutto, has appealed to the people to choose those with credibility and refrain from voting for those who had been tested several times.

She said this while addressing the public at the Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto on the eve of the 6th death anniversary of her husband, Mir Murtaza Bhutto, on Friday.

As Ghinwa Bhutto had been stung by the graduation bar for contesting the elections, she reproved the conditions imposed by the military regime terming the move as a way of introducing the favourites of the IMF and the World Bank and the moneyed class in the parliament.

Paying tribute to Mir Murtaza Bhutto on the occasion, Ghinwa Bhutto said that like her father-in-law, Mir Murtaza Bhutto also adopted a thorny path to provide rights and justice to the poor masses of the country in contrast to his sister, Benazir Bhutto, who adopted an easy way by clinching power.”
