KALAYA: Warplanes bombed militant positions in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal area of Orakzai, killing 15 militants and destroying three hideouts, security officials in the region said.

At least 20 militants were also wounded in the assault, reports said.

More than 600 militants and 18 security personnel have died during the military operation in the tribal area.

There was no independent confirmation of the latest incident as the warzone is remote and out of bounds for media.
