LAHORE, Oct 29: Abbottabad clinched the PCB-Pepsi Cricket Stars Under-16 cricket title after defeating Quetta in a low-scoring final by eight wickets at the Gaddafi Stadium here on Friday.

Set just 47 runs to win, Abbottabad made 48 for two in 16.1 overs with Mohammad Hanif (16 not out) and Mohammad Arsalan (14) as main scorers.

Earlier, Quetta subsided in 17.5 overs against fine bowling by Khushdil Shah (four wickets for six runs) and Asim Kamal (three for seven).The winners received cash prize of Rs200,000 and the runners-up pocketed Rs100,000. Khushdil Shah was declared Man-of-the-Final and received Rs10,000.

Karachi's Mohammad Afzal won the best batsman prize of Rs10,000 while similar awards were given to Quetta's Sharafuddin (best bowler), Peshawar's Matiullah (best wicket-keeper) and Khalid Kail (best fielder).
